FAWE Liberia joins the broader FAWE Africa network in championing inclusive skills development and expanding opportunities for women and young people in general to thrive in an evolving labor market.
FAWE Liberia is represented by its Executive Director, Hon. Millias Z. Sheriff, who is expected to gain more insights into Leadership and Governance, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM), and the Labor market.
Africa Skills Week 2026 is taking place from October 12–16 in Harare, Zimbabwe, under the theme, “Skills for Resilient and Competitive African Industries: From Training to Value Creation.”
Organized by the African Union Commission in partnership with the Government of Zimbabwe, the event brings together policymakers, industry leaders, educational institutions, development partners, and young people to strengthen skills development, promote youth employability, and align technical and vocational education and training (TVET) with labor market needs.
Africa Skills Week highlights the importance of equipping young people, especially women and marginalized groups, with relevant skills, knowledge, and opportunities to support entrepreneurship, innovation, decent work, and sustainable economic growth.
Investing in skills today means building a more inclusive, productive, and competitive Africa tomorrow.
