FAWE Liberia

The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) held its 81st Board Interface Meeting in Nairobi, Kenya, from March 23-24, 2026.

The 81st Board Interface Meeting brought together Board Members and Executive Directors from (10) Chapters, including but not limited to Ethiopia, Ghana, Liberia, Malawi, Rwanda, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

The Meeting synoptically focused on the following, but not limited to:

  1. Strategic oversight and direction for the organization’s work across the continent
  2. Commitment to strong leadership, accountability and strategic direction
  3. Strengthening alignment between FAWE Africa and the National Chapters
  4. Showcasing impact or work being done at country level
  5. Resource mobilization strategies
  6. Peer learning exchange
  7. Reflection and dialogue on the FAWE-Mastercard Foundation Phase ll Program
  8. Innovation

The Chapters represented at the 81st Board Interface Meeting are implementing the “SECOND CHANCE PATHWAYS FOR INCREASED ACCESS TO TERTIARY EDUCATION FOR MARGINALIZED YOUNG WOMEN AND MEN” also referred to as FAWE-MASTERCARD FOUNDATION PHASE ll PROGRAM.

This Program focuses on supporting marginalized young women and men from economically challenged backgrounds between the ages of 15-25 years who have completed secondary education to transit into tertiary education with specific focus on TVET and STEM and to acquire dignified and fulfilling Jobs.
