Monrovia, Liberia – September 29, 2026: The National Recruitment Selection Committee of the FAWE-Mastercard Foundation Phase II Program is conducting the final review and validation of prospective students to be enrolled under the program.
The three-day exercise commenced on September 28, 2026, and is being held at Stella Maris Polytechnic University in Monrovia. The exercise will conclude on September 30, 2026.
The final review and validation is an important stage in the recruitment and selection process, aimed at ensuring that prospective participants meet the established eligibility requirements and selection criteria of the program. It also provides an opportunity for the National Recruitment Selection Committee to review and validate submitted information before the final enrollment of selected students.
The validation exercise brings together representatives from partner ministries, participating universities (bridging) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions, as well as key youth, disability, and refugee-focused organizations.

The FAWE-Mastercard Foundation Phase II Program seeks to expand access to quality higher education and TVET opportunities for 650 marginalized young women and men across 10 counties in Liberia through bursary support.
The ongoing validation exercise represents a significant step toward ensuring that eligible young people are identified and supported to pursue their educational and career aspirations.
Through its partnership with the Mastercard Foundation, FAWE Liberia continues to champion greater access to education and opportunities for young women and men, particularly those who face barriers to pursuing higher education and skills development.
