The graduation ceremony witnessed the successful graduation of forty (40) learners in the trade areas of driving, satellite installation and catering.
He spoke on the THEME: “Empowering Women and Youth Through Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)”. The Speech synoptically focused on the following:
- The Significance of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), stressing on its technical significance, considering TVET as the “Master Key” to success etc.
- Women and Youth as enterprising components of the Workforce (potentialities identified through empirical evidences).
- The need to redirect women focus from the traditional TVET areas to male-dominated TVET concentrations.
4.The role of government in providing the enabling environment to enhance skills acquisition (policies, equipment, dignified and fulfilled job opportunities etc). - Sustained inclusivity of Women and Girls in TVET and the need to foster private sector development in the TVET sub sector.
