Hon. Millias Z. Sheriff is a Liberian educator and development leader with extensive experience in Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), girls’ education, youth empowerment, and public-sector leadership. He currently serves as Executive Director of the Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Liberia Chapter, where he provides strategic leadership for the organization’s 2024–2028 Strategic Plan and advances programs that promote inclusive, equitable, and quality education.

At FAWE Liberia, Hon. Sheriff leads partnership-building with key government ministries and development stakeholders, supports program innovation and scaling, and strengthens systems for monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning. His responsibilities also include resource mobilization, financial and human resource management, advocacy and communication, and secretarial support to the FAWE Liberia Board.

Before joining FAWE Liberia, Hon. Sheriff served from 2018 to 2023 as Assistant Minister for Technical and Vocational Education and Training at Liberia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports. In that capacity, he supervised national TVET centers, coordinated local and international partners, supported competency-based training policy development, and contributed to efforts to establish the Liberia TVET Commission (LITCOM).

Hon. Sheriff’s leadership background also includes youth political development, humanitarian service, elections administration, construction operations, and community mediation. He has served as President of the Young Political Leadership School of Africa (YPLSA) under NAYMOTE and as Planning, Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting (PMER) Officer at the Liberian National Red Cross Society, where his work included peacebuilding, conflict resolution, and initiatives addressing Sexual and Gender-Based Violence.

As a Lecturer, Hon. Sheriff has taught Economics at the African Methodist Episcopal University and Assembly of God Mission High School, and he has delivered guest lectures and capacity-building workshops for diverse institutions and audiences. He was honored to have served as the National Orator on the 174^th Anniversary of the National Flag Day (August 24) of the Republic of Liberia.

Hon. Sheriff holds a Master’s degree in Education Administration and Supervision (M.Ed.) and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from Cuttington University, along with a Post Graduate Diploma in Contemporary Diplomacy and International Relations from the Gabriel L. Dennis Foreign Service Institute and a Bachelor of Science degree (BSc.) in Economics from the African Methodist Episcopal University. He is also pursuing a Master of Arts degree in Public and International Affairs at the University of Liberia’s IBB Graduate School. His professional development includes training and certifications through UNESCO, ITCILO in Italy, MASHAV in Israel, Ohio State University, and specialized programs in child protection, curriculum development, and the digital transformation of TVET.
