Observance of the 16 Days of Activism
The Forum for African Women Educationalists (FAWE) Liberia Chapter climaxed the celebration of the 16 Days of Activism on Friday, December 13, 2024 at its Head Office, located at Gbankay Town Junction, Airfield Shortcut.
The Program brought together relevant stakeholders which included but not limited to: Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection, Ministry of Education, Ministry of Youth and Sports, National Commission on Disability (NCD), UNIDO, UNESCO, WE-CARE Foundation, F-Sham of Faith Girls Academy, All Girls Islamic School, Gateway Vocational Training Center (GVTC), Monrovia Vocational Training Center (MVTC), Business and Domestic Occupational Training Center etc
The Program focused on speeches or remarks and panel discussion based on the National Theme: Empower Women, Secure Our National: Invest locally to prevent violence against women and girls. The panelists were drawn from the Social, Legal and TVET backgrounds.
Thanks to everyone who graced the occasion. And special thanks to FAWE Board Members, Hon. Collin F. Tamba, Assistant Minister for TVET at the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Hon. Nathaniel K. Cisco Jr. (Proxy) Assistant Minister for TVET, STEM and Inclusive Education at the Ministry of Education.
